Full Time Plant Operations Manager
Description Oversees and coordinates the installation, renovation, modernization, repair, maintenance and operation of all hospital plant equipment, within the main facility, medical office building, Springport Medical Clinic, 101 Spicerville Hwy property 1501 Kyle St Medical Building and 1409 Hall St property.
Ensures that physicians, employees, patients, and visitors are protected by the implementation and documentation of DNV, OSHA, NFPA, and BOCA codes and standards.
Plans and recommends to Administration, capital expenditures for equipment, renovations, repairs and necessary improvements for compliance.
Oversees, supervises and schedules department personnel; evaluates staff performance; participates in emergency on-call schedule.
Maintains documentation for:
inspections, safety and security measures, preventive and corrective maintenance, and utility and equipment management programs.
Ensures public safety at facility thru safety and security program.
Serves as Chair of the Safety and Physical Environment Committee; reports facility, life safety, safety, security, hazardous materials, medical equipment and utility management issues.
Member of Quality Management and Infection Control Committees.
Provides liaison with contractors, architects, engineers and material/equipment suppliers for administering contracts for repair, construction and maintenance projects.
RequirementsBLS required within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout employment.
High school graduate or an equivalent.
Associate degree or 5 years combination of technical training and experience required, familiar with NFPA, CMS, NIAHO.
Minimum of five years' experience in a trade or have completed a related apprenticeship program.
HVAC training and experience desirable.
Must possess a current Michigan driver's license.
Ability to complete DOT Hazardous Materials competency.
Mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, willingness to learn.
